Top 5 Stop Snoring Exercises

May 15th, 2009 Charles No comments

I thought I’d share with you some of the stop snoring exercises that you can do as snoring hacks to help fix this problem. Some of these may not seem like the most effective, but put faith in the process and you’ll see results.

1. General Fitness

Living a healthy life can generally help you reduce your snoring problems. Take the time to go to the gym or go for a job. It is important to live a very active and healthy life. This is probably about the most beneficial thing you can do for your life, along side stopping your snoring problems.

2. “The Pencil”

This is a really easy exercise that you can do and it involves putting a pencil in your mouth and biting down on it. I don’t want you to go beserk or anything like that. Just bite down, so that you have a firm grip and hold that for around 5 minutes.

3. The Tongue Thrust

This is a simple exercise. Try to stretch your tongue out in a straight line (don’t strain yourself), bring it back into your mouth, touch left cheek and right cheek. Finally stick your tongue back out and try to touch your nose (you’re not expected to reach). Do this around 10 or 20 times.

4. The Yawn

Just open your jaw up like you’re yawning and hold that for a few seconds. Do this a few times throughout the day. It is designed to exercise your jaw muscles, which play a huge role in the snoring problem.

5. Finger Push

Take your finger and gently push against your chin. Hold it like this for a few minutes (only a few minutes).

Hack Snoring With A Snoring Chin Strap

May 14th, 2009 Charles No comments

snoring-chinstrapI wanted to show you how to hack snoring with a snoring chin strap. As you can see from the picture that I have shown to the right, you can see that it is a relatively simple device that may look a little odd to wear. Let me assure you that it isn’t uncomfortable. When you put it on, you’ll barely even notice it and you’ll have no problem falling asleep. That’s what I wanted to first tell you. The next thing I wanted to tell you is that this device is very effective. It just takes a few seconds to put on and you’re ready to go to bed. This post is on how you can hack snoring with a snoring chin strap.

The first thing you need to know about this sort of thing is that your jaw position actually determines your snoring problem. Open your mouth right now, as you’re reading. Try to swallow. You can’t do it. Your throat constricts very tightly when your mouth is open and this is part of the problem. Air has to go at a much faster rate as it moves through the smaller space at the same pressure. Sorry – that’s just the physics behind it. The rapid speed causes an intense vibration and you end up with the sounds known as snoring.

A snoring chin strap works very simply because it holds your jaw up as you sleep.  Since your jaw is closed, your throat will expand in size and the speed of air will decrease. It is really just that simple. If you want to know more about this device click here.

Forcing Your Husband to Stop Snoring

May 13th, 2009 Charles No comments

snoringhusbandThis is a post for women that have to put up with a snoring husband. I know this can be a real nightmare becauseit can be hard to tell your husband that they just need to fix this problem. Especially when someone just has to get up for work in a few hours, you don’t want to rip into them.

Here is how you get them to fix the problem. You have to find a solution that is exceptionally easy for them to apply. If they’re forced to make a huge lifestyle change, you’re just not going to presuade them to change. It’s too much resistence and no one really wants to make a major change.

Obviously you need a device that is going to be easy to apply. The more time and work to get something to work, the less likely they’re going to do it, so I have found the device that is going to save you a lot of hours of sleep because it is easy.

A snoring chin strap is a device that holds a persons mouth closed as they sleep. It is about the easiest solution for snoring problems because it just takes 5 seconds to put on before they go to bed. All you have to do is give it to them as a gift. They may give you some negative comment about it, but they’ll try it because it only takes 5 seconds to put on.

Once they see that it is working they’ll naturally use it. This will save your sanity.

How to Say No to Your Snoring Problem

May 12th, 2009 Charles No comments

notosnoringI think a lot of people out there lack the basic skill of saying no to their snoring. This is a problem that ends up plauging people for the rest of their lives. 99.9% of people that end up with this problem do not attempt to fix it. If you think about it, you’re probably driving someone nuts.

The issue is that you don’t know how to say no to your snoring problem. It’s so much easier to put up with it because you can just go to sleep. You don’t have to listen to it because it is your spouse that is going to have to put up with it. Either way you’re probably destroying your marriage because of it.

Let’s get one thing straight; you have to stop saying no. It’s time to say yes to a solution.

  • I’m sick of snoring – YES!
  • I want silence while I sleep – YES!
  • I want to fix this problem – YES!

Than what you want is a snoring chin strap. It is really the only means to fix this problem with the least amount of effort. It is probably one of the few methods that will actually work for you the first time you apply it. It is universally sound because it recognizes that the position of your jaw actually determines the amount of airway available in your throat. Obviously the more airaway you have available, the less likely you’ll be able to snore.

That’s why making the simple choice to say yes. Yes I’m going to fix this problem is going to help you beat snoring and live a better life.

The Top Excuses For Not Fixing A Snoring Problem

May 11th, 2009 Charles No comments

I know you’re probably given one of these excuses because I hear them all the time from people. Whining best defines what this really is, so it isn’t the best thing to be doing.

1. It’s Not That Big Of A Deal

I hear this a lot from people that are in denial about their snoring. Naturally you’re going to assume it isn’t that bad, but how would you really know. Since you’re sound asleep when all the snoring occurs you’re never really going to have any idea what it is like and how disturbing it can be.

Sit down with your spouse, children, or roommate and ask them how bad your snoring has become. They have a much better gauge for your problem. They are the ones that will inevitably kept up all night listening to the sounds.

2. It’s Too Much Work

There seems to be this perception that fixing a snoring problem is going to take a lot of hard work. Most people that tell me this assume that they’re going to have to make huge lifestyle changes to get a grip on this problem. Even though changes to your lifestyle can help, it isn’t a necessity. There are easy ways to fix the problem such as the Snoring Chin Strap.

3. I Don’t Know What To Do

This is another classic excuse I get from people, but this probably one that contains the most truth. The simple fact is that most people don’t know what to do. There isn’t exactly much conventional wisdom available on the subject. You never see how other people fix their snoring problems because it happens in the privacy of their bedroom. You don’t learn about this sort of thing from school or from your parents.

Most realize that there is a problem, but without information to act on there isn’t much to do.

4. I Just Want To Sleep

I’ll be the first to admit that this was a big issue with me. I really crave my sleep and giving up my sleep to address a snoring problem isn’t on my mind. I have to get up early in the morning to get to work. I just want my sleep and I don’t have time to mess around.

5. I Don’t Care

There are a lot of people that genuinely don’t care about their snoring problem. I suppose if you live alone and don’t distrub anyone this would be fine, but if you live with your spouse or a roommate, you’re probably driving them absolutely nuts. Showing a little empathy to the people that live with you is an important part of addressing the problem. I think all of us were stuck up in the middle of the night listening to someones snoring before. It’s not nice. It’s one of the most frustrating things a person can do.

These are the top excuses I hear when it comes to people that don’t fix their snoring problem. It’s ashame because excuses don’t fix problems. All they do is make you feel better about not doing anything about it. Trust me, there are a lot of things you can do to fix the problem that I will talk to you about in a later post.
