Get the Snoring Chin Strap

July 1st, 2009 Charles No comments

I thought I should show you where you can get the snoring chin strap. I set up a link for you and thought I’d explain it one more time, so you fully understand how it works.

Basically the chin strap wraps around your chin and the top of your head. It’s sole purpose is to provide support for the jaw area as you sleep. That might sound like something that is complicated, but it’s really simple. It’s also a very comfortable thing to where.

The snoring chin strap works because after the jaw is given support, it forces the throat muscles to contract in size. That allows the throat to open and provide more air room for your breathing. This is what prevents the snoring from happening. When there is more room in the throat, you’re less likely to cause vibrations and things of that nature.

How to Hack Snoring

June 16th, 2009 Charles No comments

I thought I should do a post completely on your ability to hack snoring. I feel sad for all the people that actually have to listen to someone that snores. It is a rough thing to have to listen to especially when you have to get up in a few hours to go to work and live a stressful life. This sort of thing only amplifies the stress and makes you feel even worse. The victims of snoring are the people that have to inevitably listen to it. They’re the ones that are up at 3 am trying to fall back to sleep, but they can’t and that makes them even more frustrated.

I remember my roommate at college had real problems with his snoring. Sometimes I could make it through the night without hearing them snore. As long as I went to bed before them, I’d be off into a deep sleep before they’d ever have a chance to make a sound. Those were the lucky nights, but often I find myself waking up in the middle of the night hearing it and not knowing what to do at all.

When it comes to hacking your snoring, you just use a device known as a chin strap. The way it works is that it holds the jaw up as you sleep. That may not seem like something important, but when your jaw is open it causes pressure on the throat area. When you add the support, it will cause the throat to open up and there will be less vibration in the throat.

It’s simple. Learn more here…

Jaw Supporting Technology

June 3rd, 2009 Charles No comments

Anyone that has consistently read this blog knows that I stick to the newest research when it comes to solving this problem. Science has concluded that snoring is a direct cause of the position of your jaw. When your jaw is unsupported, it will inevitably lead to pressure on the throat area and that causes the vibrations we hear ( snoring ). All you need to do to fix this problem is get some sort of jaw supporting technology to hold your jaw up and give it some support. Once you do this it becomes quite difficult to produce the sounds of snoring.

A lot of people don’t seem to realize the pressure an open jaw puts on the throat. Try it with me now. Open your mouth and try to swallow. You can’t do it. Your throat has too much pressure on it to even swallow. This is what it is like when you’re sound asleep. That’s what leads to the sounds of your snoring. I’ll point out too that you don’t necessarily have to have your mouth open for this to occur. Your muscles go loose when you fall asleep, and so does your jaw muscles. Your mouth may be closed, but it is still unsupported.

A jaw supporter is going to solve this problem completely and I think it is one of the best investments you can make. It is very supportive and comfortable. It’s not like this is going to interfere with your sleep. It also works the first night you apply it.

Prevent Snoring

What if I told you that you could prevent snoring before it starts? You’d probably be surprised by such a statement. Snoring is a problem that has plagued people for generations. Most people associate this as a male problem, but more and more people are doing. It doesn’t seem to matter who you are, you can have a chance of snoring. Some people really don’t care about it. Some people are going nuts listening to someone doing it and others are just plain embarrassed by it. You can prevent snoring and make sure that you don’t make a peep out of your mouth while you’re sleeping.

The Chin Strap is a device that is designed to hold your mouth closed as you sleep. A lot of people think this is hard to wear and use while you sleep. It’s actually not that bad and after your first night you won’t even know it’s their. Your jaw has actually been shown to control your snoring. When it is open, you snore. When it is closed, you don’t. It works on the same idea of the snoring mouth guard. I don’t like that device because my mouth always builds up with liquids and I nearly choke to death in the middle of the night.

The chin strap works about the best because it is something you put on your head. You don’t have to put anything in your mouth. Breathing is very easy, and the best part is that it works the first night you put it into practice.

My Two Favorite Snoring Treatments

May 28th, 2009 Charles No comments

A lot of people are looking for decent snoring treatments that they can start to use to help fix this problem, but really don’t know of any. I suppose that is tragic because there are a lot of solutions out there. I have used many in my time. Some of them ended up working, while others did not work. I’m going to create a little post here that can help you identify which one would work best for you and your particular situation.

The Tennis Ball

Basically people that snore are lying flat on their backs. This causes loose tissue to fall into the throat and the air that you breath in/out will cause this tissue to vibrate. It is this vibration that causes the sound of snoring. All you have to do to stop this type of snoring is just roll onto your side. This causes the tissue to fall to the side and out of the airways. Seems like a relatively simple thing to do.

Since you’re not conscious when you’re asleep, you can’t force yourself to remain on your side all night long, so you need something to support you. If you sew a tennis ball into the back of a t-shirt, this will make a perfect device. When you try to roll onto your back, the ball will be in the way and you’ll go back onto your side.

Chin Strap

The Chin Strap deals with another cause of snoring. Basically your muscles go loose when you’re asleep and this causes two particular things. First, your tongue will slide back into your throat area and secondly your jaw will fall loose, which causes your throat to constrict in size.

A chin strap is designed to hold your jaw upright, which allows your throat to expand in size and prevent this problem. Click here to learn more about it.
